I am currently enrolled at the University of California. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. During the last four years, I have tutored primary and secondary school students at a local tutoring and test prep center. I excel at math and science but I have experience helping students prepare for SAT exams in many subject areas. Teaching has taught me that I must communicate clearly by identifying and adapting to the way that a student learns best. Some students learn better if I use visual learning tools while others prefer audio tools or repetitious delivery of instruction. I have been lucky enough to be able to assist students enrolled in an annual college program called "Youth Empowerment Program" (YEP). It assists at-risk primary students who are struggling with disabilities and other problems. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy participating in healthy activities such as hiking, reading, playing badminton, and running.
